As Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre's job is to represent Norway in the international community and work to preserve the nation's peace and stability -- and to help create a modern multicultural society that welcomes immigrants and new traditions. This is not an abstract question after the shocking violence of 2011's terrorist attack on Norway.

He is a former executive director at the World Health Organization, and was also the Executive Chairman of the Norwegian think-tank ECON Analyse. Before becoming Foreign Minister he served as Secretary General of the Norwegian Red Cross from 2003 to 2005.
