3000
Askush nuk ishte hero. Nuk kishte hero te vetmuar.
00:21
Because everyone was a hero.

2000
per te na sjelle
00:57
one of the most inspiring stories
16
42000

nje nga tregimet me frymezuese

ku flitet per revolucione.
01:04
It was actually really inspiring
19
49000
2000
Ishte me te vertete frymezuese
01:06
to see all these Egyptians completely changing.
20
51000
3000
pamja e te gjithe Egjiptianeve te bashkuar ne brohoritje.
01:09
If you look at the scene,
21
54000
2000
Kur analizon
01:11
Egypt, for 30 years, had been in a downhill --
22
56000
3000
Egjiptin per 30 vitet e kaluara, verehet nje tatepjete --
01:14
going into a downhill.
23
59000
2000
e percjellur nga nje tatepjete tjeter.
01:16
Everything was going bad.
24
61000
2000
Gjithcka dukej se po shkonte keq.
01:18
Everything was going wrong.
25
63000
3000
Gjithcka po shkonte ne drejtim te gabuar.
01:21
We only ranked high when it comes to poverty,
26
66000
3000
Ne ishim ne vendin e pare vetem atehere kur flitej per varferi,
01:24
corruption,
27
69000
2000
korrupsion,
01:26
lack of freedom of speech,
28
71000
2000
mungese te shprehjes se lire,
01:28
lack of political activism.
29
73000
2000
mungese te levizjeve politike.
01:30
Those were the achievements
30
75000
2000
Keto ishin te arriturat
01:32
of our great regime.
31
77000
3000
e regjimit tone te famshem.
01:36
Yet, nothing was happening.
32
81000
2000
Prape, asgje nuk ndryshonte.
01:38
And it's not because people were happy
33
83000
2000
Gjerat nuk ndryshonin, jo per shkak se populli ishte i kenaqur
01:40
or people were not frustrated.
34
85000
3000
ose qe nuk ishin te frustruar.
01:43
In fact, people were extremely frustrated.
35
88000
2000
Te them te drejten, njerezit ishin tejet te frustruar.
01:45
But the reason why everyone was silent
36
90000
3000
Arsyeja pse te gjithe ishin kaq te qete
01:48
is what I call the psychological barrier of fear.
37
93000
4000
quhet kufiri psikologjik i frikes.
01:52
Everyone was scared.
38
97000
2000
Te gjithe ishin te frikesuar.
01:54
Not everyone. There were actually a few brave Egyptians
39
99000
2000
Jo te gjithe. Ishin ca Egjiptian te guximshem
01:56
that I have to thank for being so brave --
40
101000
3000
qe une duhet ti falenderoj per trimerine --
01:59
going into protests as a couple of hundred,
41
104000
3000
duke shkuar ne protesta me qindra,
02:02
getting beaten up and arrested.
42
107000
3000
duke u arrestuar dhe perdhunuar.
02:05
But in fact, the majority were scared.
43
110000
3000
Por ne pergjithesi, shumica ishin te trembur.
02:08
Everyone did not want really
44
113000
2000
Akush nuk donte qe
02:10
to get in trouble.
45
115000
2000
te futej ne telashe.
02:12
A dictator cannot live without the force.
46
117000
3000
Nje diktator nuk mund te jetohej pa fuqi.
02:15
They want to make people live in fear.
47
120000
3000
Ata duan qe ta mbajn popullin ne frike.
02:18
And that psychological barrier of fear
48
123000
3000
Kufiri psikologjik i frikes
02:21
had worked for so many years,
49
126000
3000
pati funksionuar per vite me radhe,
02:24
and here comes the Internet,
50
129000
2000
dhe interneti u shfaq,
02:26
technology, BlackBerry, SMS.
51
131000
3000
teknologjia, BlackBerry, SMS.
02:29
It's helping all of us to connect.
52
134000
3000
Na ndihmon te gjitheve ne, ne mbajtjen e lidhjes mes nesh.
02:32
Platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Facebook
53
137000
4000
Platforma si Youtube, Twitter, Facebook
02:36
were helping us a lot
54
141000
2000
na ndihmuan shume,
02:38
because it basically gave us the impression that, "Wow, I'm not alone.
55
143000
3000
sepse ne fund te fundit na dhane pershtypjen se "Uau, une nuk jam vetem.
02:41
There are a lot of people who are frustrated."
56
146000
2000
Ka shume njerez te tjere qe jane te frustruar."
02:43
There are lots of people who are frustrated.
57
148000
2000
Ka shume njerez te frustruar.
02:45
There are lots of people who actually share the same dream.
58
150000
3000
Ka shume njerez qe kane te njejten enderr.
02:48
There are lots of people who care about their freedom.
59
153000
3000
Ka shume njerez qe merakosen per lirine e tyre.
02:51
They probably have the best life in the world.
60
156000
2000
Sigurisht ata kane jeten me te mire ne bote.
02:53
They are living in happiness. They are living in their villas.
61
158000
3000
Ata jetojne ne hare. Ata jetojne ne villat e tyre.
02:56
They are happy. They don't have problems.
62
161000
2000
Ata jane te gezuar; ata nuk kane probleme.
02:58
But they are still feeling the pain of the Egyptian.
63
163000
4000
Por ata kane ndjenja per dhimbjen e Egjiptianeve.
03:02
A lot of us, we're not really happy
64
167000
2000
Shume prej nesh, nuk jane te kenaqur
03:04
when we see a video of an Egyptian man
65
169000
2000
kur shohin nje video te nje Egjiptiani
03:06
who's eating the trash
66
171000
2000
qe han prej plehrave
03:08
while others are stealing
67
173000
2000
nderkohe qe te tjeret vjedhin
03:10
billions of Egyptian pounds
68
175000
2000
biliona paunde Egjiptiane
03:12
from the wealth of the country.
69
177000
2000
prej pasurise se shtetit.
03:14
The Internet has played a great role,
70
179000
2000
Interneti ka luajtur rol shume te rendesishem,
03:16
helping these people to speak up their minds,
71
181000
3000
duke i ndihmuar keta njerez per te shprehur mendimin e tyre,
03:19
to collaborate together, to start thinking together.
72
184000
3000
per te bashkepunuar, per te menduar se bashku.
03:22
It was an educational campaign.
73
187000
3000
Ishte nje fushate edukative.
03:25
Khaled Saeed was killed
74
190000
2000
Khaled Saeed ishte vrare
03:27
in June 2010.
75
192000
3000
ne Qershor te vitit 2010
03:30
I still remember the photo.
76
195000
2000
E kujtoj fotografine
03:32
I still remember every single detail of that photo.
77
197000
3000
Akoma mbaj mend cdo detaj te asaj fotografie.
03:35
The photo was horrible.
78
200000
3000
Ishte nje pamje e tmerrshme.
03:38
He was tortured,
79
203000
2000
Ai ishte i dhunuar,
03:40
brutally tortured to death.
80
205000
2000
brutalisht i torturuar deri ne vdekje
03:42
But then what was the answer of the regime?
81
207000
3000
Por cili ishte spjegimi i regjimit?
03:45
"He choked on a pile of hash" --
82
210000
3000
"Ai ishte ngulfatur nga ca bime narkotike"
03:48
that was their answer:
83
213000
2000
Ky ishte spjegimi.
03:50
"He's a criminal.
84
215000
2000
"Ai eshte kriminel.
03:52
He's someone who escaped from all these bad things."
85
217000
2000
Ai ka shpetuar nga te keqijat e kesaj bote."
03:54
But people did not relate to this.
86
219000
2000
Por populli nuk ka te beje me te gjithe kete.
03:56
People did not believe this.
87
221000
2000
Populli nuk e besoi kete.
03:58
Because of the Internet, the truth prevailed
88
223000
3000
Per shkak te internetit, e verteta doli ne shesh
04:01
and everyone knew the truth.
89
226000
2000
dhe te gjithe e moren vesh te verteten.
04:03
And everyone started to think that "this guy could be my brother."
90
228000
3000
Dhe te gjithe filluan te mendonin "ky njeri mund te ishte vellai im."
04:06
He was a middle-class guy.
91
231000
2000
Ai ishte nga klasa mesatare.
04:08
His photo was remembered by all of us.
92
233000
3000
Fotografia e tij mbahet mend nga te gjithe ne.
04:11
A page was created.
93
236000
2000
Nje faqe ishte krijuar.
04:13
An anonymous administrator
94
238000
2000
Nje administrator anonim
04:15
was basically inviting people to join the page,
95
240000
3000
ftonte njerez per tiu bashkangjitur faqes,
04:18
and there was no plan.
96
243000
2000
pa ndonjefar plani te shtruar.
04:20
"What are we going to do?" "I don't know."
97
245000
2000
"Cfare do te bejme?" "Nuk e di"
04:22
In a few days, tens of thousands of people there --
98
247000
3000
Vetem per ca dite, dhjetra mijera njerez
04:25
angry Egyptians
99
250000
2000
Egjiptian te frustruar
04:27
who were asking the ministry of interior affairs,
100
252000
3000
te cilet po pyesnin ministrine e puneve te brendshme,
04:30
"Enough.
101
255000
2000
"Mjaft.
04:32
Get those who killed this guy.
102
257000
3000
Kapni ata te cilet vrane kete njeri
04:35
To just bring them to justice."
103
260000
2000
dhe sillini para drejtsise".
04:37
But of course, they don't listen.
104
262000
2000
Por natyrisht, ministria nuk degjoi.
04:39
It was an amazing story --
105
264000
2000
Ishte nje tregim marramendes- -
04:41
how everyone started feeling the ownership.
106
266000
3000
si te gjithe filluan ta ndjejne veten pronar.
04:44
Everyone was an owner in this page.
107
269000
2000
Te gjithe ishin pronar te kesaj faqeje.
04:46
People started contributing ideas.
108
271000
2000
Njerezit filluan te shkembenin idera.
04:48
In fact, one of the most ridiculous ideas
109
273000
3000
Ne fakt, njera prej ideve me qesharake
04:51
was, "Hey, let's have a silent stand.
110
276000
2000
ishte qe te mbanin nje proteste ne heshtje.
04:53
Let's get people to go in the street,
111
278000
3000
Le te mbledhim popullin ne rruge,
04:56
face the sea, their back to the street,
112
281000
3000
drejtuar kah deti, me shpinen kthyer qytetit,
04:59
dressed in black, standing up silently for one hour,
113
284000
3000
te veshur ne te zeza , duke qendruar ne heshtje per nje ore,
05:02
doing nothing and then just leaving,
114
287000
2000
duke mos bere asgje dhe me pas duke u larguar,
05:04
going back home."
115
289000
2000
per ne shtepi.
05:06
For some people, that was like, "Wow, silent stand.
116
291000
3000
Per disa njerez kjo ishte "Uau resistence ne heshtje.
05:09
And next time it's going to be vibration."
117
294000
2000
Dhe heren tjeter do te jete me agresive."
05:11
People were making fun of the idea.
118
296000
3000
Njerezit po e perqeshnin idene.
05:14
But actually when people went to the street --
119
299000
2000
Por kur njerezit dolen tek sheshi --
05:16
the first time it was thousands of people
120
301000
2000
heren e pare ishin mijera njerez
05:18
in Alexandria --
121
303000
2000
ne Aleksandri --
05:20
it felt like -- it was amazing. It was great
122
305000
3000
ishte nje ndjenje e mrekullueshme.
05:23
because it connected people from the virtual world,
123
308000
2000
Sepse i bashkoi njerezit nga bota virtuale,
05:25
bringing them to the real world,
124
310000
2000
duke i sjelle ne boten e vertete,
05:27
sharing the same dream,
125
312000
3000
te cilet kidhin te njejten enderr,
05:30
the same frustration, the same anger,
126
315000
2000
te njejtin hidherim, te njejtin frustrim,
05:32
the same desire for freedom.
127
317000
2000
te njejten deshire per liri.
05:34
And they were doing this thing.
128
319000
2000
Dhe po e benin kete gje.
05:36
But did the regime learn anything? Not really.
129
321000
2000
Por a kishte ky regjim kuptuar ndonje gje? Asgje.
05:38
They were actually attacking them.
130
323000
2000
Regjimi po i sulmonte njerezit ne rruge.
05:40
They were actually abusing them,
131
325000
2000
Ata po i abuzonin,
05:42
despite the fact of how peaceful these guys were --
132
327000
2000
pavaresisht menyres paqesore qe njerezit po ecnin rruges --
05:44
they were not even protesting.
133
329000
2000
ata nuk ishin as duke protestuar.
05:46
And things had developed
134
331000
3000
Gjerat po ndryshonin
05:49
until the Tunisian revolution.
135
334000
3000
deri tek revolucioni Tunizian.
05:52
This whole page was, again,
136
337000
2000
Kjo faqe
05:54
managed by the people.
137
339000
2000
ishte e menaxhuar nga populli.
05:56
In fact, the anonymous admin job
138
341000
3000
Ne fakt, detyra e administratorit
05:59
was to collect ideas,
139
344000
2000
ishte te mblidhte mendimet,
06:01
help people to vote on them
140
346000
2000
tu spjegonte atyre qe te votonin
06:03
and actually tell them what they are doing.
141
348000
2000
dhe se cfare duhej bere.
06:05
People were taking shots and photos;
142
350000
2000
Njerezit po benin foto;
06:07
people were reporting violations of human rights in Egypt;
143
352000
3000
njerezit po raportonin shkelje te te drejtave njerezore ne Egjipt;
06:10
people were suggesting ideas,
144
355000
2000
njerezit po shfaqnin mendime,
06:12
they were actually voting on ideas,
145
357000
2000
ata ne te vertete po votonin mbi idete,
06:14
and then they were executing the ideas; people were creating videos.
146
359000
3000
dhe po punonin ne drejtim te tyre, njerezit po krijonin video.
06:17
Everything was done by the people to the people,
147
362000
2000
E gjitha ishte bere nga populli, per popullin,
06:19
and that's the power of the Internet.
148
364000
2000
dhe kjo eshte fuqia e internetit.
06:21
There was no leader.
149
366000
2000
Nuk kishte udheheqes.
06:23
The leader was everyone on that page.
150
368000
3000
Udheheqes ishtin te gjithe ne ate faqe.
06:26
The Tunisian experiment, as Amir was saying,
151
371000
2000
Eksperimenti Tunizian, ashtu sikunder Amiri po tregonte,
06:28
inspired all of us, showed us that there is a way.
152
373000
2000
na frymezoi te gjitheve, na tregoi se ka rrugedalje.
06:30
Yes we can. We can do it.
153
375000
2000
Po ne mundemi. Ne mund ta bejme kete.
06:32
We have the same problems;
154
377000
2000
Ne kemi te njejtat probleme,
06:34
we can just go in the streets.
155
379000
2000
ne mund te dalim ne rruge.
06:36
And when I saw the street on the 25th,
156
381000
2000
Kur pash rruget me daten 25,
06:38
I went back and said,
157
383000
2000
U ktheva prapa ne kohe dhe mendova,
06:40
"Egypt before the 25th
158
385000
2000
"Egjipti para dates 25
06:42
is never going to be Egypt after the 25th.
159
387000
2000
nuk do te jete i njejte me Egjiptin pas dates 25.
06:44
The revolution is happening.
160
389000
2000
Revolucioni kishte filluar.
06:46
This is not the end,
161
391000
2000
Ky nuk eshte fundi,
06:48
this is the beginning of the end."
162
393000
3000
ky ishte fillimi i fundit."
06:52
I was detained on the 27th night.
163
397000
4000
Une isha arrestuar ne mbremjen e dates 27.
06:56
Thank God I announced the locations and everything.
164
401000
3000
Fale Zotit i kisha treguar piketakimet dhe cdo gje tjeter.
06:59
But they detained me.
165
404000
2000
Por me arrestuan.
07:01
And I'm not going to talk about my experience, because this is not about me.
166
406000
3000
Nuk do flas per eksperiencen time, ky fjalim nuk eshte per mua.
07:04
I was detained for 12 days,
167
409000
2000
Une isha arrestuar per 12 dite,
07:06
blindfolded, handcuffed.
168
411000
3000
symbyllur, duarlidhur.
07:09
And I did not really hear anything. I did not know anything.
169
414000
3000
Nuk degjoja asgje. Nuk dija asgje.
07:12
I was not allowed to speak with anyone.
170
417000
2000
Nuk isha lejuar te flisja me askend.
07:14
And I went out.
171
419000
2000
Pasaj u lirova.
07:16
The next day I was in Tahrir.
172
421000
2000
Diten tjeter isha ne Tahrir.
07:18
Seriously, with the amount of change I had noticed in this square,
173
423000
3000
Sinqerisht, me ndryshimin qe pashe tek sheshi,
07:21
I thought it was 12 years.
174
426000
3000
mendova se kisha kaluar 12 vjet.
07:24
I never had in my mind
175
429000
2000
Kurre nuk e kisha menduar
07:26
to see this Egyptian,
176
431000
2000
ta shihja kete Egjipt,
07:28
the amazing Egyptian.
177
433000
2000
Egjiptin e mrekullueshem.
07:30
The fear is no longer fear.
178
435000
2000
Frika nuk ishte me frike.
07:32
It's actually strength -- it's power.
179
437000
2000
Ishte shnderruar ne force -- ishte fuqi.
07:34
People were so empowered.
180
439000
2000
Populli ishte i bashkuar.
07:36
It was amazing how everyone was so empowered
181
441000
2000
Ishte e mrekullueshme si te gjithe ishin bashkuar
07:38
and now asking for their rights.
182
443000
2000
dhe tashme po kerkonin te drejtat e tyre.
07:40
Completely opposite.
183
445000
2000
Krejtesisht e kunderta.
07:42
Extremism became tolerance.
184
447000
3000
Ekstremizmi u be tolerance.
07:45
Who would [have] imagined before the 25th,
185
450000
2000
Askush nuk do e besonte kete gje para dates 25,
07:47
if I tell you that hundreds of thousands of Christians are going to pray
186
452000
3000
po tju tregoja qe mijera Krishtere do luteshin
07:50
and tens of thousands of Muslims are going to protect them,
187
455000
3000
dhe dhjetra mijera Mysliman do i mbronin.
07:53
and then hundreds of thousands of Muslims are going to pray
188
458000
2000
dhe mijera Mysliman do luteshin
07:55
and tens of thousands of Christians are going to protect them --
189
460000
2000
perderisa mijera krishtere do i mbronin --
07:57
this is amazing.
190
462000
2000
kjo eshte e mrekullueshme.
07:59
All the stereotypes
191
464000
2000
Te gjithe sterotipat
08:01
that the regime was trying to put on us
192
466000
3000
qe regjimi po mundohej te na impononte
08:04
through their so-called propaganda, or mainstream media,
193
469000
3000
nepermjet propagandes se tyre, ose televizionit publik
08:07
are proven wrong.
194
472000
2000
u treguan te jene gabim.
08:09
This whole revolution showed us
195
474000
2000
I tere revolucioni na beri te kuptojme
08:11
how ugly such a regime was
196
476000
3000
sa i keq ishte regjimi
08:14
and how great and amazing
197
479000
2000
dhe sa te mrekullueshem jane
08:16
the Egyptian man, the Egyptian woman,
198
481000
3000
burri Egjiptian, gruaja Egjiptiane,
08:19
how simple and amazing these people are
199
484000
2000
sa te thjeshte dhe te mrekullueshem njerezit jane
08:21
whenever they have a dream.
200
486000
2000
kur kane nje enderr.
08:23
When I saw that,
201
488000
2000
Kur une pashe kete dukuri,
08:25
I went back and I wrote on Facebook.
202
490000
3000
shkova shpejt dhe shkrova ne Facebook.
08:28
And that was a personal belief,
203
493000
2000
Dhe ajo ishte mendim personal,
08:30
regardless of what's going on,
204
495000
2000
pavarsisht gjendjes,
08:32
regardless of the details.
205
497000
2000
pavarsisht detajeve,
08:34
I said that, "We are going to win.
206
499000
2000
shkrova, "Ne do te fitojme.
08:36
We are going to win because we don't understand politics.
207
501000
3000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se nuk e kuptojme politiken.
08:39
We're going to win because we don't play their dirty games.
208
504000
4000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se nuk i luajme lojrat e ndyra.
08:43
We're going to win because we don't have an agenda.
209
508000
3000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se nuk kemi ndonje axhende.
08:46
We're going to win because the tears that come from our eyes
210
511000
3000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se lotet qe pikojne nga syte tane
08:49
actually come from our hearts.
211
514000
3000
vijne drejt prej zemres.
08:52
We're going to win because we have dreams.
212
517000
3000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se kemi endrra.
08:55
We're going to win because we are willing to stand up for our dreams."
213
520000
4000
Ne do te fitojme per shkak se jemi bujare dhe mbrojme endrrat tona."
08:59
And that's actually what happened. We won.
214
524000
3000
Dhe pikerisht kjo ndodhi. Ne fituam.
09:02
And that's not because of anything,
215
527000
2000
Nuk eshte fale asgjeje
09:04
but because we believed in our dream.
216
529000
2000
por fale besimit tone ne endrrat tona.
09:06
The winning here is not
217
531000
2000
Fitorja nuk eshtem
09:08
the whole details of what's going to happen in the political scene.
218
533000
3000
tek te gjitha detajet qe do te ndodhin ne skenen politike.
09:11
The winning is the winning of the dignity
219
536000
2000
Fitorja eshte fitore e dinijitetit
09:13
of every single Egyptian.
220
538000
3000
tek secili Egjiptian.
09:16
Actually, I had this taxi driver telling me,
221
541000
3000
Nje taksist me tregonte,
09:19
"Listen, I am breathing freedom.
222
544000
3000
"Degjo, une po i marre ere lirise.
09:22
I feel that I have dignity
223
547000
2000
Ndihem sikur kam dinjitetin
09:24
that I have lost for so many years."
224
549000
2000
qe kisha humbur prej shume vitesh."
09:26
For me that's winning,
225
551000
2000
Per mua kjo eshte fitore,
09:28
regardless of all the details.
226
553000
2000
perkunder te gjitha detajeve.
09:30
My last word to you is a statement I believe in,
227
555000
3000
Fjalet e fundit nga une jane fjalet ne te cilat besoj,
09:33
which Egyptians have proven to be true,
228
558000
3000
te cilat Egjiptianet provuan te jene te verteta,
09:36
that the power of the people
229
561000
2000
qe fuqia e popullit
09:38
is much stronger than the people in power.
230
563000
2000
eshte shume me e madhe sesa fuqia e njerezve ne pozite.
09:40
Thanks a lot.
231
565000
2000
Shume faleminderit.
09:42
(Applause)
